No this is people sharing some kind of asinine knowledge like their one way of handling a situation is the only way to do it. I just want to get my shit back and not hear a bunch of b.s. from a bunch of folks talking shit. Nobody is going to chain a bike to themselves and sleep in the grass on the side of a busy ass freeway. You can't hide a bike when all you have is concrete. These statements are not helpful in anyway and unless folks were in my situation they have no idea what all took place. I am just trying to put out the word to anyone else in that area and also give a good description in case someone happens to see the bike or parts floating around. This is like looking at a guy who chops off his foot with a chainsaw and saying don't run that near your foot, it's pointless.
I know a few of these guys like to have their ongoing clubchopper arguments and all and that's good for them if it does something for their ego's I really don't give a damn I am just posting info and hoping to share and receive some info. I don't need silly tips from folks who think their one size fits all answer that they most likely have not done means shit for this thread.
It pisses me off my bike is gone and I don't need larry moe and dipshit saying stupid shit like this. Just info shared and for others to be careful.
Rast, the all knowing will most likely get on here next and tell you that you should not have hidden it behind a truck but tucked it under your bed or that you didn't use the right kind of chain. Those statements are just pointless at this time.
Everybody has let their bikes out of their site to some extent or another it's not even feasible to try to say one never does. This is just bad shit to happened to one person and then all the know-it-alls come flying out to share their amazing insight.

Not bust'un your chops friend I feel your pain. I had a harley get gone back in 1993. I was standing on the other side of the door with a SKS loaded to the max. I opened the door to check on the bike it was gone. I thought someone was playing fucked up joke, til I seen the tire and boot tracks that pushed my bike across to a alley and I'm assuming into a van. There was 20 harleys got stolen out of Ft. Myers that weekend. Mine showed up 10 years later in West Palm beach. Like its been said post some pics and we will keep our eyes open for ya. Hope ya get it back.

The first bike was chained up. They cut with an acytelene torch that could fit in the palm of your hand. They do NOT sell those anymore.
The SECOND bike was stolen when I was at a Mc Donalds. I had the bike sitting in front of the window and was watching it. The lady said may I take your order. I quickly gave her the order and turned back around. The bike was gone! I ran outside and saw the thief about 2 blocks away . Too late. It was before cell phones.
The third incident was a borrowed motorcycle. I was working at a motorcycle shop and borrowed a junker bike to run over to a class at school.
I had the bike parked but the steering lock did not work.
I stayed late at school because it was the end of the semester and I needed to clean out my locker. I left to go home.
I started walking towards the bike and saw a guy running with my motorcycle across the street. I ran after him and he saw that I was going to catch up to him.
He just drops the bike and damages it and I picked up the bike out of the street.
That motorcycle and the first two bikes were all next to the University of Arizona on Speedway blvd. Probably most Universities have the same thing going on. It is a very busy multi lane street, and once the thieves get across the street, it is unlikely you will have a chance to cross and catch them.

Hope you get it back and find the low-life POS! I have a friend who had the same thing happen on I-4 in Lakeland, FL.
With that said, I have 2 different roadside assitance plans: AAA and State Farm. Skid bed wreckers all carry bike straps. I'm not cracking on you, just food for thought in case it happens again.

I remember being out in Pheonix in the early 90's, the double D out there had a modified van with a fork lift type attachment on the side of it I was told about. Would pull up beside the bike and it was gone in seconds... My dad pulled his pan in the livingroom every night we were out there..
Post the pics and a decription on your local Craigslist, if you got any local swapmeets go and take a look...

Sorry to hear that, fucking pricks. My bike fried some wires at 11:00pm once. I pushed it 2 miles to my friends house. I thought I would have a heart attack (that bike was fucking heavy, at least while I was pushing it). Never leave your bike. Ever.
I rented my house I live in because I could put my bike in the down stairs family room. Big glass sliding door, just the right size for the bike to fit through. And a dog to make sure no comes in when i'm not home.
Put the word out with everyone you know. You never know someone may have heard something.

Holy shit I gotta jump on the bandwagon...I'm sorry this happened to you man.
My ignition took a shit during my road trip last weekend. It was 3am near the Utah, Nevada border. Shitty feeling.
I hope you find your bike man.

-my kenny boyces were the most challenging but rewarding builds ive ever done
-theres alot of k boyces in california but in detroit were i lived there was barely a handful [maybe 3-5 that i knew about]
-man that sucks guy...keep your eyes peeled for the parts...alot of which are boyce application only
-double prayers my freind
-they used to hang horse theives...motorbikes should have the same penalty in my opinion [especialy chops as opposed to fully insured baggers], no offense to bagger owners...there just fully insured soo much cheaper than spec. con. bikes
-bigger and more pics might could help...ive got pretty poor vision anymore...but can spot a boyce at 20 meters easily

Total drag that happened to you and I fortunately have not had a bike stolen but I do know this.
1) I have stayed with my bike all night long about half a mile from LAX which is a fun part of Los Angeles especially at 2am. The only thing I had going for me that morning was LAPD seemed to be more interested in what I was doing rather then dealing with all the crackheads in that neighborhood.
2) There is alot of technology these days when it comes to tracking devices so you may want to consider this in the future.
I have Lo Jack on my bike for piece of mind and I always put 2 big Masterlocks on my chain one on top and one on bottom whenever im out and about and cant keep watch on it.
With the Masterlocks you cant push the bike forward or backwards and good luck trying to cut them off without making a scene.
