TEXAS- Call to Action
Texas Council of Clubs and Independents-
https://www.facebook.com/txcoci
May 21, 2021
This CTA is still in place. We have until Monday afternoon to get these calls done. There has been some movement on some legalization and expanded access bills. Now it's our turn. Keep up the heat.
May 16, 2021
We are hearing from our Capitol sources and other interest groups trying to get bills passed this session of stalling tactics being used on some bills deemed controversial by an influential minority. One such reported instance saw a bill sit on the Lt. Governor’s desk for over 10 days before being assigned. WE DO NOT HAVE THAT KIND OF TIME! We need this CTA to be carried out this week until HB1838 is assigned to a Senate Committee hearing. We want to head any stalling tactics off early. This CTA will work better if calls are made to his office at (512)463-0001.
Something you might say when calling,
“Hello,
My name is _____________, as a Texan and an active voter, I would like to formally request Lt. Governor Patrick to assign HB1838 relating to the accountability wrongfully submitted Texans into the Texas Gang Database this week. This legislation deserves to be reviewed by a Senate Committee. Thank you!”
Again, this will be faster and more effective if completed as a phone call. We have too far to see this stall before crossing the finish line. Keep up the pressure. Continue to have your non-biker family and friends continue to help. This legislation could save your rights from being infringed one day.
As always, LOUD BIKERS SAVE RIGHTS!

NOTE:
HB1838: Relating to intelligence databases for combinations and criminal street gangs.
